Contractor Payment & Compensation Policy
Last Update
InvestorBootz values the independent contractors who complete work through our platform.
Most assignments are straightforward. You accept the assignment, complete the work, upload the required deliverables, and get paid.
Sometimes things do not go exactly as planned. A property may be inaccessible. A customer may cancel. A safety issue may prevent work from continuing. In those situations, we use standardized payment rules so every assignment is handled consistently and fairly.
Our goal is simple: set clear expectations before work begins so you always know how payment works.
How Payment Works
Your compensation may include one or more of the following:
Travel Compensation
Travel Compensation covers your travel to the assignment.
Service Compensation
Service Compensation covers the work you successfully complete at the property.
Late Cancellation Compensation
Late Cancellation Compensation may be available when a confirmed appointment is canceled within two (2) hours of the scheduled appointment time.
Travel Compensation
If you travel to the property, arrive as instructed, and follow the required platform procedures, your travel is covered according to the approved travel amount associated with that assignment.
Travel Compensation helps protect contractors when an assignment cannot move forward because of circumstances outside of their control.
Examples may include:
The property cannot be accessed.
The occupant refuses entry.
The property is unsafe.
The address provided is incorrect.
The customer cancels after travel has already begun.
Travel Compensation is determined using the approved travel amount associated with the assignment.
Late Cancellation Compensation
If a confirmed appointment is canceled within two (2) hours of the scheduled appointment time, Late Cancellation Compensation may be available.
This compensation recognizes that contractors may reserve time on their schedule for confirmed appointments.
Late Cancellation Compensation applies only when the customer cancels before travel begins. Once travel begins, Late Cancellation Compensation no longer applies and the applicable compensation outcome transitions to Travel Compensation.
Late Cancellation Compensation and Travel Compensation are separate compensation outcomes and generally do not apply to the same assignment unless required by a documented Service-Specific Rule.
Eligibility for Late Cancellation Compensation depends on:
The timing of the cancellation.
The assignment status.
Whether travel has begun.
The documented facts of the assignment.
Service Compensation
Service Compensation depends on the work successfully completed.
There are three possible service outcomes.
Full Payment
Full Payment generally applies when the requested service is completed successfully and all required deliverables have been submitted.
Partial Service Payment
Partial Service Payment may apply when meaningful work has been completed but the full assignment cannot reasonably be finished.
Examples may include:
Part of a multi-service assignment was successfully completed.
Time and effort were invested before the assignment could no longer continue.
Customer-related circumstances prevented completion after work had already begun.
No Service Payment
Service Payment may not apply when the requested work was not completed or required platform procedures were not followed.
Examples may include:
You do not arrive for the assignment.
You abandon the assignment after accepting it.
Required deliverables are not submitted.
Assignment requirements are not followed.
The assignment cannot be completed because of contractor-related circumstances.
If Something Prevents You From Completing the Assignment
If you cannot complete an assignment, let us know through the InvestorBootz platform as soon as possible.
Select the reason that best describes what happened, provide any required notes, and upload any requested documentation.
Providing accurate information allows us to review the assignment quickly and determine the appropriate compensation outcome.
Payment Reviews
If you believe a payment decision was made in error, you may request a review.
When reviewing an assignment, InvestorBootz may consider information such as:
Assignment activity
Platform timestamps
GPS events, when applicable
Messages
Photos
Videos
Submitted deliverables
Quality Assurance reviews
Other relevant documentation
Our goal is to make every compensation decision consistently using the same standards for every contractor.
